Campaign calendar is a unified view representing all the campaigns and their statuses running across all channels. Moengage app currently does not have any calendar for the users to track the campaigns sent or planned.

Problem Statement ”How might we build a calendar for our users to track and manage their campaigns efficiently.”

Current Scenario

Currently our users plan out their campaigns on a spreadsheet, they use apps like Microsoft excel, Google sheets, Airtable etc

Objectives and what are we solving for

• To create a single place for our users to plan and manage their campaigns to enable the ease for tracking, updating and adding campaigns.
• To create a custom calendar or a desired view for their personal events and also sync their calendars

🧐 Understanding the Problem (Why are we solving)

• It is important for our users i.e the Marketers to plan their campaigns ahead in time and to increase their engagement.
• Users want to see the progress, status and the performance of their campaign in a single place.
• Marketers want to see and get alerted about holidays of multiple regions
• Users want to access their campaign information in multiple views (Daily, weekly, monthly etc) in calendar and list format
• Users want the ability to filter and view the campaigns using different attributes such as tags, channel, campaign type etc and create a custom view for future reference

🔍 Research overview Our first step of research was through a survey we sent out, we targeted enterprise clients based in US, UK, India and SEA who has published more than 150 campaigns in 2022 till 24 March. We got 53 responses to the survey.

From the survey and the tickets from our CSM team, I was able to validate my assumptions. We needed to create a holistic view to plan, track and manage campaigns. Make it easily accessible for everyday use while also not making it over whelming for our users

Competitive Analysis Our competitors like Braze had a simple version of the campaign calendar, I also referred to multiple apps such as hubspot, braze, Monday, google calendar, notion etc but found them lacking in some or the other areas. Attaching a few references here.
